About this site is part of the 'family of websites' operated by Apologetics Index - a ministry located in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The Apologetics Index ministry is headed by Anton and Janet Hein-Hudson. In the box to the right, you'll find links to information about Apologetics Index, our values, and our statement of faith.

As mentioned within those pages, we are "followers of Jesus."

Our offline ministry includes

  • providing counseling and practical help to people in need,
  • teaching fellow-Christians to understand and apply God's grace and mercy - gifts that set Christians free from legalism, and instead allow us to become expressions of Jesus who lives in and through us (see Galatians 2:20Off-site Link).
  • providing hospitality to Christians who need a time-out, as well as to Christian ministers visiting - or on their way through - Amsterdam, and
  • leading a House Church.

Our guiding scripture is Jesus' mission statement, which we see as our 'job description' as well:

The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to release the oppressed,
to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.

To us, the 'prisoners' and the 'oppressed' include those Christians who have been trapped in legalism, as well as those who have suffered under heavy-handed leaders in spiritually abusive churches.

Given the fact that teaching - in word and in deed - about God's grace and mercy is such an integral part of our ministry, Janet and I have long planned to publish a site like this one.... Lord-willing, we hope to be able to greatly expand it over time.

In closing, if you'd like to talk with us about the things you read here, please feel free to contact us.
